The Libyan Super Cup is played between the Libyan Premier League champion and the Libyan Cup champion.
If the Libyan Premier League champion is also the Libyan Cup champion, the Super Cup is played between the Libyan Premier League champion and the Libyan Cup runner-up.
Since Al-Ahli Tripoli won both the Libyan Premier League and Libyan Cup this season, the Super Cup was played between Al-Ahli Tripoli and the runner-up, Al-Ahli Benghazi.
